An Iraqi official said Ali Bagheri, deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, asked Iraq to prevent Iranian opposition groups from crossing the border.

Revolutionary Guard Issues Warning

12:27 UTC — Guard threatens regional military and economic infrastructure

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned of the “complete destruction of the region’s military and economic infrastructure,” according to a statement broadcast on state television.

The statement accused the United States of continued involvement and alleged, without presenting evidence, that U.S. forces used civilian facilities as cover. These claims have not been independently verified.

Turkey’s Defense Ministry said NATO defense systems intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Iran after it crossed Iraqi and Syrian airspace.
