PlayStation Network Suffers Global Outage, Frustrating Gamers Worldwide

Multi-Hour PSN Outage Sparks Outrage Among Players

Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) experienced a global outage starting Friday evening, leaving gamers unable to access essential services for hours. The disruption persisted well into Saturday, affecting online gaming, the PlayStation Store, account management, and video streaming.

Sony Acknowledges Issues but Offers Few Details

Sony addressed the outage on its official Ask PlayStation X account, stating:

“We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN.”

Despite acknowledging the problem, Sony did not immediately provide details about the cause or an estimated time for resolution.

Thousands Report Connectivity Issues

The outage began around 6 p.m. Friday, with over 69,000 users reporting issues, according to outage-tracking site Down Detector. By Saturday morning, more than 5,700 users were still unable to access the network.

Global Frustration as Gamers Demand Answers

From the United States to the United Kingdom, frustrated PlayStation users flooded social media with complaints about login failures and missing features. Many criticized Sony’s lack of transparency.
