Lawyer Reports 300 Potential Cases Against Sean “Diddy” Combs

A lawyer representing several alleged victims of Sean “Diddy” Combs has revealed that up to 300 civil cases could emerge against the musician. Attorney Tony Buzbee, speaking to the BBC, shared that his team received approximately 3,000 calls after an October news conference seeking clients.

20 Lawsuits Already Filed

Buzbee has already filed 20 lawsuits on behalf of both men and women, with claims spanning a 20-year period. He estimates that 100 to 150 cases will ultimately proceed to court, as some are barred due to expired time limits in certain states.

Diddy’s Response: The artist has denied all allegations, labeling them “sickening” and accusing plaintiffs of seeking a “quick payday.” His legal team has dismissed the lawsuits as part of a “reckless media circus.”

Legal Battle and Public Scrutiny

Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff, emphasized his confidence in the judicial process, asserting that he “never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone.” Meanwhile, Buzbee accused Diddy’s team of using intimidation tactics to deter victims, especially after courts ruled that anonymous plaintiffs must reveal their identities for their cases to proceed.

One accuser, a 19-year-old at the time of the alleged assault, has agreed to reveal her identity, signaling the willingness of others to follow suit. Buzbee cited his prior experience in similar cases, such as representing women against NFL player Deshaun Watson, as evidence of his clients’ resilience.

Allegations Against Other Celebrities

One high-profile lawsuit alleges the involvement of other celebrities in crimes at Diddy’s parties. Recently, Jay-Z was named in a case where a 13-year-old girl claimed she was raped at a party while Diddy and another individual allegedly watched. Jay-Z has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them “idiotic” and accusing Buzbee of extortion.

The claims have sparked speculation about a broader “party culture” within the music industry, with Buzbee suggesting that more public figures may face allegations.

Criminal Charges Loom Large

Diddy is also facing criminal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He is currently held at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Detention Center, awaiting trial scheduled for May 2025. Legal experts explain that these criminal proceedings will take precedence over civil claims to avoid self-incrimination under the Fifth Amendment.

Social Media and Public Reaction

The allegations have ignited widespread social media debates, often fueled by misinformation, including AI-generated hoaxes and fabricated stories. Despite this, Buzbee believes potential jurors will focus on evidence, stating, “Most people are willing to judge claims on their merits.”

What Lies Ahead?

Grand jury hearings in the criminal case are ongoing, and further developments, including amended indictments or additional defendants, remain possible. For the alleged victims pursuing civil claims, justice may require patience, as the legal process unfolds over the coming years.
