Israeli Defense Minister Katz Claims Victory Over Hezbollah
Jerusalem, Nov 10 (Reuters) – Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Sunday that Israel has defeated Hezbollah, describing the elimination of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, as a significant achievement.
“Now, our focus is to maintain pressure to ensure the full benefits of this victory,” Katz stated during a ceremony at Israel’s foreign ministry.
He clarified that Israel has no intention of interfering in Lebanon’s internal politics, noting, “We’ve learned our lessons.” However, Katz expressed hope that an international coalition would leverage this opportunity for political progress and encouraged Lebanon to consider joining other nations in normalizing relations with Israel.
