Teen Actor Hudson Meek, Known for ‘Baby Driver,’ Dies After Falling from Moving Vehicle
Tragic Loss of a Young Talent
Hudson Meek, a 16-year-old actor best known for his role in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, tragically passed away on December 22 after falling from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
In a heart-wrenching post shared on his Instagram account, Meek’s family wrote: “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
The Accident
The incident occurred on the night of December 21, when Meek fell from the vehicle and sustained blunt force injuries, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates. Meek was rushed to the hospital but tragically passed away on Saturday, December 23. Vestavia Hills police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Hudson Meek’s Acting Career
Meek made his mark in Hollywood with several notable roles, including portraying a young version of Ansel Elgort’s character Baby in the 2017 hit film Baby Driver. The film, directed by Edgar Wright, follows a talented getaway driver with a passion for music.
In addition to Baby Driver, Meek appeared in a variety of TV shows and films, including MacGyver, Legacies, The School Duet, Genius, Found, and Momma Jenny & the Brooks Boys, among others. His diverse body of work showcased his talent and potential as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
