According to a statement shared by family members, the search for missing Arizona resident Nancy Guthrie remains ongoing, with relatives appealing to the public for information that could assist investigators. Authorities are treating the case as a possible abduction, though no arrests have been announced.

Investigation Details

Police said Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on January 31 in Tucson, Arizona, and was reported missing the following day. Investigators have indicated they believe she may have been taken against her will.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released surveillance footage showing a masked individual outside Guthrie’s residence on the night of her disappearance. Officials have not publicly identified the individual and have not confirmed whether the person is directly linked to the case.

Law enforcement agencies have not disclosed further details regarding suspects or investigative leads.

Family Appeal

In a public statement shared via social media, Savannah Guthrie renewed calls for assistance from the Tucson community.

The family urged residents to review personal records and recollections from key dates surrounding the disappearance, including January 11, January 31, and February 1. They asked individuals to check surveillance footage, communications, or any observations that could be relevant.

“Someone may have information they do not realize is significant,” the statement said, emphasizing that even minor details could assist investigators.

The family also acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the case, stating they remain unable to determine what happened to their relative.

Reward and Public Safety

Family members have announced a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie.

Authorities have not issued a broader public safety alert but continue to encourage anyone with information to contact law enforcement. No additional threats to the community have been publicly identified.

Background

Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson, a residential neighborhood north of the city. The case has drawn national attention due to the involvement of her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, a co-anchor of NBC’s morning program.

According to statements from the program, Guthrie has stepped back from on-air duties to focus on supporting her family during the investigation.

Officials have not announced any court proceedings, charges, or persons of interest as of this writing.
