Kelly Osbourne is officially engaged — and the proposal couldn’t have been more fitting. Slipknot turntablist Sid Wilson asked the 40-year-old television personality to marry him during her father Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on Saturday, July 5.

The moment played out onstage in front of family, friends, and more than 40,000 fans. Wilson, 48, took the mic and turned to Kelly with heartfelt words: “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world.”

In true Ozzy fashion, the metal legend cut in with a cheeky “F— off, you’re not marrying my daughter,” prompting laughter across the venue. But Wilson pressed on, saying, “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends—Kelly, will you marry me?”

Stunned and emotional, Kelly nodded yes as the crowd erupted in cheers. She hugged her now-fiancé as her family, including mom Sharon and brother Jack Osbourne, joined in the celebration.

From Friends to Soulmates

Kelly and Sid’s connection has deep roots. They first met in 1999 when Slipknot played on Ozzfest, the heavy metal music festival created by her parents. What began as a friendship evolved into romance more than two decades later.

The couple went public in January 2022. “They’re very happy together,” a source told PEOPLE at the time.

On their first Valentine’s Day as a couple, Kelly posted a tribute to Wilson on Instagram, writing, “After 23 years of friendship I can’t believe where we have ended up! You are my best friend, my soulmate, and I am so deeply in love with you.” Wilson shared the same photo with a loving caption: “There are not enough colours to display the palette of Love I have for you in my Heart.”

A Growing Family

Just months after going public, the couple shared more big news: they were expecting their first child. Kelly revealed her pregnancy in May 2022 with a photo of herself holding an ultrasound image.

“I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma,” she wrote on Instagram. “To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!”

Their son, named Sidney, arrived at the end of that year. While Kelly had hoped to keep his birth private, proud grandmother Sharon let the news slip during a January 2023 appearance on The Talk. “[His name is] Sidney. They’re doing so great. She won’t let a picture go out of him,” Sharon shared.

Kelly later confirmed the birth via Instagram Stories, writing, “I am not ready to share him with the world,” and asked fans to respect her family’s privacy.

“Everything to Me”: Life as a Mom

Since becoming a parent, Kelly has embraced motherhood wholeheartedly. During a September 2023 episode of The Osbournes Podcast, she spoke candidly about her new chapter.

“He’s the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said of her son. “I just love being a mom. It is everything to me.”

With an engagement, a growing family, and support from both sides, Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson are writing a new love story rooted in music, history, and family — all sealed with a rock and roll proposal.
