Playboy Shifts Global Headquarters to Miami Beach, Opens New Club with Exclusive Amenities

Published Time: 08-16-2025, 17:00

Playboy Inc. is marking a major milestone by relocating its global headquarters from Los Angeles to Miami Beach while launching a new flagship club in the city. The move underscores the brand’s focus on expanding its creator network and enhancing its lifestyle and entertainment offerings.

The Miami Beach site will serve as both a corporate hub and a cultural destination, combining modern office spaces, creative studios, and an upscale members-only club inspired by the historic Playboy Mansion.

Miami Beach: Playboy’s New Cultural and Creative Hub

The company announced that its Miami Beach headquarters will occupy the top floors of a luxury office building. The space will include studios designed to support Playboy’s expanding “creator network,” aimed at producing digital content and collaborations across media platforms.

Ben Kohn, CEO of Playboy Inc., emphasized the city’s appeal, saying, “Miami Beach is among the most dynamic and culturally influential cities in the country, making it the ideal home for Playboy’s next chapter.”

The new location reflects Playboy’s strategic shift toward lifestyle, entertainment, and digital media, moving beyond its historic roots in Los Angeles.

A Modern Playboy Club with Classic Inspiration

Alongside its headquarters, Playboy will open a club that combines dining, entertainment, and members-only experiences. The venue will feature a restaurant open to the public and an exclusive section designed to capture the spirit of the original Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles.

The company has described the club as an extension of its brand, blending luxury hospitality with curated events and a creative community for members and collaborators.

A Legacy Spanning Seven Decades

Playboy was founded in 1953, with its first magazine featuring Marilyn Monroe on the cover and a “Sweetheart of the Month” color photo inside. The publication quickly became a cultural phenomenon, known for its photography, interviews, and lifestyle content.

The first Playboy Club opened in Chicago in 1960, shortly after the magazine’s launch, and soon expanded internationally with locations in major cities worldwide. These clubs became iconic venues, combining nightlife, entertainment, and branded experiences that reflected the Playboy lifestyle.

In 2020, Playboy discontinued its monthly print magazine, pivoting fully to online content while continuing to build its digital presence and creative networks. The Miami Beach headquarters and new club are the latest steps in the company’s evolution toward a modern media and lifestyle brand.

Strategic Implications of the Move

The relocation positions Playboy within a dynamic market known for tourism, entertainment, and cultural influence. Miami Beach offers proximity to influential creators, media companies, and luxury hospitality networks, aligning with Playboy’s goal of expanding its brand beyond traditional publishing.

Analysts note that the move could strengthen Playboy’s engagement with younger audiences and digital communities, while maintaining its legacy as a symbol of lifestyle and entertainment innovation.

Looking Ahead: Playboy’s Vision for the Future

Playboy’s Miami Beach headquarters and club are expected to serve as both a creative and social hub, hosting events, content production, and membership experiences. By combining office spaces, studios, and a luxury club, Playboy aims to redefine its brand identity in the modern media landscape.

Ben Kohn highlighted this forward-looking approach: “Our Miami Beach campus will provide the infrastructure and inspiration for the next generation of creators, while celebrating the culture and legacy that has defined Playboy for decades.”

As the company embraces this new chapter, it continues to merge its historic allure with contemporary digital innovation, lifestyle experiences, and global cultural influence.
