Carney’s career in banking spans decades of high-level experience. He served as Governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013, guiding Canada through the financial turmoil of the 2008 global crisis. His success in stabilizing Canada’s economy earned him international recognition, leading to his appointment as the Governor of the Bank of England in 2013.
