1960s pop star and music icon remembered for her timeless voice and lasting influence

Connie Francis, the famous singer known for hits like “Who’s Sorry Now?” and “Lipstick on Your Collar,” has died at age 87.

The news was shared by her close friend and longtime publicist, Ron Roberts, on her official Facebook page Wednesday night.

“It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night,” Roberts wrote. “I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news.”

Health Issues in Recent Weeks

Francis had been struggling with health problems in the weeks leading up to her death. Earlier this month, she was hospitalized due to pain and had to cancel several planned events.

An official cause of death has not yet been announced, but her social media posts suggested she was dealing with ongoing health issues.
