Los Angeles, California (Journos News) – Two people were discovered dead at the Los Angeles home of Hollywood director and actor Rob Reiner, officials confirmed. A family member found the bodies, prompting an ongoing investigation by homicide detectives. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released, and authorities are still reviewing the cause of death.

Police and Fire Department Respond to Scene

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said officers responded to the residence around 3:40 p.m. local time on Sunday. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived shortly before, responding to a medical emergency. They found a 78-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman deceased, according to a spokesperson.

Homicide detectives are conducting a detailed investigation at the property. A law enforcement source told CNN that a family member of Reiner’s discovered the bodies when visiting the home. Officials have not provided further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The LAPD emphasized that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities said additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Rob Reiner’s Career Highlights

Rob Reiner, 78, is widely recognized in Hollywood for his work both on screen and behind the camera. He rose to fame portraying Mike Stivic, the son-in-law of Archie and Edith Bunker, on the television series All in the Family. His role earned him two Emmy Awards in the 1970s. The character often clashed with his conservative father-in-law, highlighting the show’s engagement with social and political issues of the era.
