IDF Neutralizes Key Hamas Figures in Gaza Operation

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a successful airstrike targeting high-ranking Hamas operatives in Gaza, eliminating multiple individuals tied to the group’s command and attack planning.

Key Eliminations in Strike

  • Ammar Daloul: A senior figure within Hamas’ Manufacturing Headquarters, Daloul was a critical source of expertise for the terrorist organization.
  • Jihad Yassin: The commander of the Zeitoun Battalion, a unit implicated in numerous recent attacks on IDF forces.

The strike, conducted by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), also targeted a command center previously operating out of the Al-Hurriya School in Gaza City. This operation resulted in the deaths of six additional Hamas operatives, including:

  • Yahya Masoud Muhammad Ashqar: Involved in the October 7th massacre.
  • Kamal Saber Salim Arafat.
  • Muhammad Muhammad Akram Aaraj.
  • Loay Farid Faiz Hussein Ali.
  • Imad Aouni Ibrahim Rayan.
  • Raed Samir Masoud Harazayn.

Recent IDF Operations on Schools as Command Centers

The IDF and Shin Bet have intensified operations targeting Hamas leaders utilizing repurposed civilian structures for military purposes. On Wednesday, they conducted a precision strike that killed Fahmi Salami, a commander of Hamas’s Nukhba Brigade in the Zeitoun Battalion. Salami, who played a role in the October 7th raid on the ‘Paga’ outpost that left 14 IDF soldiers dead, was eliminated while operating from the former Al-Falah School in Gaza.

Strategic Impact

These targeted operations demonstrate the IDF’s commitment to dismantling Hamas’s leadership and infrastructure while addressing the organization’s use of civilian sites for military activities. The elimination of these figures disrupts Hamas’s operational capabilities and reinforces Israel’s ongoing efforts to neutralize threats in the region.
