Game Developers Warn RTX 40/30 Series Users Against New Nvidia Drivers

Nvidia’s latest GPU drivers are causing issues for many GeForce RTX 40 and 30 series users, prompting several game developers to recommend downgrading to older versions for better stability.

Over the past few weeks, reports have surfaced of performance problems, including stuttering and frame drops, affecting users of Nvidia’s newest drivers. Developers behind The First Berzerker: Khazan and InZoi have specifically advised RTX 40 and 30 series owners to revert to the 566.36 driver released in December 2024. These recommendations, first highlighted by Twitter/X user @mpr_reviews, have now gained wider attention in the gaming community.

While RTX 50 series users are encouraged to stick with the latest drivers, InZoi’s developers warn that Nvidia’s 572.XX drivers could lead to inconsistent performance on RTX 40 series GPUs, causing occasional frame drops and stuttering.

As of now, Nvidia has not addressed these reports or announced any plans for a fix. While instability appears most common on RTX 40 series cards, some RTX 30 series users have also reported similar issues.

Gamers experiencing problems may need to downgrade their drivers while waiting for an official update from Nvidia. With mounting concerns, users hope for a swift resolution in the form of a future driver update.
